There are two major companies that specialize in the San Diego Harbor Cruises. The best known of the two is the Hornblower Cruises and Events. The other is the San Diego Harbor Excursions. Both of the tours offer customers an opportunity to see the North Island Naval Air Station, the Submarine Base, Cabrillo National Monument, Shelter Island and Harbor Island. December through March the companies offer whale watching tours as well. San Diego Harbor Excursions operates the Coronado Ferry that departs from the berth between B Street and Broadway pier across the harbor to Coronado at the Ferry Landing Marketplace. Both the Hornblower and San Diego Harbor Excursions run tours that last 1 or 2 hours and depart several times throught the day.
