Point Loma Nazarene University could be the best location for a college anywhere. PLNU sits on the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean given access to students to some of the most remote beaches anywhere. Situated in walking distance from the famous views of Sunset Cliffs and the excitement of Ocean Beach, Point Loma Nazarene is a wonderful place to go to school.
This Chrisitian school does place a certain amount of importance on religion including mandatory weekly attendance at the school's chapel. Student reports on the academic programs at the school very widely, with some saying the academics are very good while others say they leave a lot to be desired. As should be expected from a relatively expensive school the student body is generally well off and most come from upper-class families.
From surfing to running along the cliffs to hitting baseballs over the fence and into the Ocean, Point Loma Nazarene is definitely a place for an outdoor loving student.
If you want to check out the very secluded cliffs and beaches just mention to the attendant at the security gate that you want to go down to the beach and they will let you in without any problems during daylight hours.
