Spreckels Theatre

Spreckels Theatre in Balboa Park is the location of the Spreckels Organ Pavilion where the largest outdoor organ in the world is located. The beautiful sounds resonate through the outdoor theater to the delight of spectators. Free concerts are held Sunday afternoons and the Summer Organ Festival is worth checking out.

The Spreckels Theatre is one of the many free activities that makes Balboa Park special. Besides the incredible music that is played here the Spreckels Pavilion also hosts many other types of musical performances on its large outdoor stage. There is plenty of seating, all of which offers a fantastic view of the stage. Alternatively, you can bring a blanket and put it down on the grass just beyond the seating area. From the grass you may have a hard time seeing the stage but you will still be close enough to enjoy listening to the wonderful music. For information about upcoming performances just visit the Spreckels Organ Pavilion website.
